Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Splitpin » Fri Sep 26, 2014 5:40 pm

Well , i sorted my paypal thing and this morning Colin sent me the link to get this beast . I really didn't think it would work , as they clearly state that XP is not supported ..... but it did , well , almost cool.gif
I cant ask these questions at Milviz , because they dont support XP ..... so here we go .
#1 I have no crew .
#2 I cant load weapons , the screen is black.
#3 When i turn the lights on ... the engines start to smoke.

Will the version i have , have all the fixes so far ? and if not , where can i get the updates ?

Im really chuffed this works in the old XP ..... Just need it to work a bit more .

Its the Shift-1 key that opens the option to tick pilots in and add the weapons loads and and many other adds such as chocks .

Not sure , i see similar problems on the MV forum (with non XP users ) , and the fix seems to be an upgrade ..... but as i said , where ? do you get the fixes .
Colin , is telling us with problems to go to the support forums , and not to post problems on the main forum ..... there is no support forum for the F-4 that i can see .
Simple questions i would have thought angry.gif IF THERE IS AN UPGRADE ... WHERE CAN I GET IT ???

The beta team get the most recent updates first, then followed by the pre paid customers, you will get a new link in a email shortly

It's alright, it's that time of the year and with everything going on in the world, people's fuses have been very short of late

Nothing we won't loose sleep over mate

Going with the questions still, operable radar? And does FSX support multi cockpit stuff? I forget. Would be cool to run intercepts up and down the coast.

EDIT: Found out they're planning to do multi and shared cockpit! Which is cool.

EDIT TWO: I've answered all my questions biggrin.gif

Just noticed this here...The reason XP is not supported anymore is because of the use of DX10/11 in the ACM, Direct2D (part of DX10) in the gunsight, and the DX10/11 cockpit lighting. So nope the ACM wont show up on a XP system. Oh and the radar will also be DX10/11.

One we were discussing the other day, and having the backseat have something to do , be one hell off position to land it from, this entire aircraft is going to be a really doosie! cool.gif

Soooooo I bought it today. Waiting on my code but can't play until next week anyway (once uni is done) so no rush there. Looking forward to it though.

Hmmm it looks like it just crashes FSX as soon as I select the aircraft. Oh well. Just have to wait for the proper release.

If you would describe the details of the crash (error report, hardware, OS, sim version etc) on the Milviz support forums I can help ya.
