A2A Corsair

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Ian Warren » Sat Oct 04, 2014 2:24 pm

Had a major search on my HDs couple days back, all this for a preempted MP, a panic followed ... but then thought who did I buy it from ?
Nothing like the A2A team, Aircraft Factory Corsair install and properly put into a folder and a big thanks to Scott and Lewis
It is so great to have a history with ones name , as for the freeware sound package GOJOZOOM posted the other day ... Recommend !

Nice shot Ian. Such a great aircraft, my fave warbird by far.

BTW that thread re the new sound pack upgrade is over here should anyone else be looking for the file: http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23354
You've got me going now, have just installed that wickely weathered texture from Jan Kees of the Kohimarama livery. See: http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22058

As for JKs JanKees paints ... the lot, all gorgeous, looking forward to see you join us on the deck... maybe John as a Captain means I can fly!

OK now have you tried MP carrier landings , do you have this below from Flightsim.com .. small file so no affect , John aka Johnkiwi who happens to live out at NZFF for real would love to control the aircraft carrier so that puts me in the air with You , Blake ... aircraft A2A Corsair, VSs Hellcat, Avenger, Dauntless and freeware Swordfish .. the good thing here is most people who have LOW END SYSTEMS can really get in and enjoy a Multiplay without a crash .... unless you hit the carrier and land badly ..

Wicked!!! So we just chuck it into the FSX SimObjects folder? No configuration to do?

Yes , it is that simple, put into your 'aircraft' folder and away you go , 'effect' of course into that folder for the smoke.

It is a great way to introduce people to a multiplay, I'll install the Swordfish for those who don't have the paywares .... best I dig up the link for that.

I did end up downloading that Swordfish and took her for a spin last night from Whanganui River/Valley inland towards Ruapheu district whilst talking with Ian on TeamSpeak. She's a beauty. So great there's stuff of this quality about, and for free...

Before jumping in the Swordfish I had earlier started the flight from Wanganui Airport in the A2A Corsair, was all going swimmingly but I did too little concentrating on flying, and too much listening to/talking with Ian :-) .. and cut a valley corner too tight, stalled, and plummeted into the forest below. This was the sad result.... rolleyes.gif
