Left Mt Cook this morn and threaded the valleys via Lindis Pass to get through to Wanaka. Along the way I found this. Don't remember seeing a fix for it. Does anyone know if there was one? This is VLC, which I bought (by download) in May 2012.
The co-ords in the second pic are S44Â° 31.28', E169Â° 43.75'

Mike , I headed to the exact location , I'm using ORBX mesh and no spikes in this location , I don't have the photoreal running in this area .. fact is that won't build or create that issue .

Hmm Ok- It's likely the edge of a tile or subtile used in the interpolation of the DTM but I'll have to confirm when I get home

Timmo, the nice straight line of the spikes made me think "tile boundary" too.
I have both the VLC and the FS Global 2010 meshes in use, but I have the FS Global 2010 Oceania disabled while I am fiddling with Waiheke.

I can confirm that the problem exists on my machine as well- Good spotting

I'll see what I can do to fix it.
