If you seek support for your issue at the Orbx support forums we can resolve that for you, you will need to provide proof of purchase though winkyy.gif

I resolved it myself, thankyou.
That it happened at all was a clear indicator of poor quality control, particularly in pre-release testing. I don't have time to waste fixing problems created by developers who assume that every buyer has only a default FSX setup, or that they use only that developer's addons, and so only write installers to cover that.
Thanks, but no thanks.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

I guess like so many software developers they simply dont have the resources or time to make there stuff , work with every variation, of hardware, software and os. Of course if there where people who had time and the know how and had nothing better to do, they could help.

I think that this mesh would not work with both ORBX and VLC, I think that it may conflict with my VLC installation, so yeah.

What is the default mesh resolution in FSX and/or Prepar3d? Would you expect a 15m mesh be much of an improvement?

The default is simply a quick covering over a general elevation, no specific features, course this is world wide, hence the reason for these specific mesh file produced to really 'AMP' the areas and regions up, a 15 meter .. I don't no, If you have an ORBX or VLC it sure makes a huge difference , would nice to have the VLC mesh with the ORBX ground texture to compliment the countryside but we cannot have both.

FSX mesh for NZ is based on SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission) data, resampled from 90m to about 75m.
But just installing a higher resolution mesh isn't going to work well, as there are plenty of other scenery components which are linked to a specific elevation, and these tend to be linked to a specific mesh.
So you'd need to redo any elevation-linked data, especially airport flattens. That's what Orbx does, and it the main reason why they redo every airport -- since they need to do it anyway, they may as well add a few library objects while they are at it.
Rivers and lakes can be elevation-dependent as well, so you'd need to redo all these as well, otherwise you'll get some really strange elevation issues -- such as airports and lakes in holes, or on plateaus.
