Did a little history on the aircraft, it was a LC-130H (76-3301) 76 for the year it was built and converted to a LC-130R, first flight Feb 14th 2001 , wonder what the story is with the Yellow nose ?

Not that one (I think) Greg ... no rudder or skis . I was out out there at 0630 yesterday and there were 6 LC's on the ramp..... lovely sight .

Oh dear - there's a repaint in this livery for the Captain Sim one at avsim - 31096 "City of Christchurch". Vade retro, Santa!
(with skis, and a black nose)

It is indeed .... sometimes the Dash 8's sound like C-130's until they get overhead.
