Hello again everyone, and wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Was browsing the Steam games the other day and noticed that FSX is now being supported and sold by Steam. Anyone know much about that? I imagine some addon compatibility issues may arise?

Hi Chris , I brought it but have not d/loaded but stored it away the document/invoice away as a backup to FSX .. I'm thinking this could become a rebuild and further developed , true thought it maybe better than the Lockheed P3D licenses, at only five bucks and holy owned it may get interesting.

And ya, the $4.99 is a cheap deal for a backup copy of what looks like maybe a FSX that is a bit updated.
Good to see you anyway ... bug and all , happy new year big guy.

For those pesky add-ons which require FSUIPC, Pete has updated it to work with Steam Edition of which you can get here:

Thats a great find, I also don't have issues with seem to be a 50/50 , my introduction to it was Cliffs Of Dover, think the biggest thing is the possible upgrades maybe even follow the same lines as P3D.

Any issues with Godzone software and the Steam edition?
I've only had a definitive report for freeware Wellington and Paraparaumu, which work. Since the payware stuff uses the same or similar installer scripts, I assume that it'll go in just as easily.
The only thing to be aware of, I understand, is if you have FSX installed as well you might have problems with installers which rely on the registry to locate the sim. Although I don't know what actually happens -- whether FSXse will overwrite the FSX registry entry, in which case you'll have problems installing to FSX, or just ignores it if it finds it, in which case you'll have problems installing to FSXse.
Yes, I know, I should buy this to test it, but even the current US$4.99 is well beyond me at the moment -- at least until I can figure out how to pay the Amazon Cloud account for December subscriptions, and renew my Prepar3D license for another month...
