P47 in Softclouds over NZNS

Postby scaber » Mon Feb 02, 2015 6:49 pm

Getting a bit antsy sith having no new FSX purchases for quite some time (no work :( ) so with things getting worse I decided that Softclouds was probably within my budget. Loaded the P47 uo and went for a blat around Nelson.

I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the results. I was running Opus weather engine but these clouds are pretty impressive with the partial visibility effects so as the clouds get thinner more of the ground is visible. As I approached my first cloud I was immediately reminded of what it was like when we used to circle up to the base of the cumulus clouds over Omarama.

This has to be my best buy of the year!!!! :D

Yes, you're right there. It was like coming back to an old friend and the "rattly" noise when you overstress the engine with everything into the red is something scarey to hear!!

Your 'soft clouds' make a very effective filter in that set.
