FSPilotshop usually has the same system but on this order this was posted -- Milviz - MV MD530F for FSX and P3D v1.4 - Delivery Option: Instant Download For technical support with this product, please contact Milviz. So I will have to contact them for info. Thanks for the questions -- I will do some more testing and get back to you ASAP.
[quote="chopper_nut"]I think you're right there. Megashaft really neglected the helicopter flight model since it was introduced. A2A, PMDG, Dodosim have the right idea with external flight models. HTR has gone some of the way but as I said, it isn't much good with a joystick. I see the good folks at Milviz have graced us with another update this morning. The only difference I have noticed is the option to install it for SE. I have actually picked up on a couple of things that need fixing. The lighting is pretty ordinary. The beacon wont start until the generator is up and running. The nav lights on the skids and the landing light work with just the battery on. The lighting effects aren't that great in my opinion either. The landing light is the usual lighting effect but the nav and rotating beacon are like some custom lighting effect which just looks quite poor. I assume that the beacon under the fuselage is supposed to look like it is rotating but I'd rather have the standard effects like I have on the rest of my aircraft. The caution and warning lights are a little suspect. The ENG OUT and XMSN OIL PRES in my experience flash when the engine is off. When the engine has started, the XMSN OIL PRES light goes out but at ground idle the ENG OUT light stays on until 90% N1 I THINK
Ok, I have done some research and I was wrong about the caution and warning lights. They must have changed it for the E model so that the ENG OUT light goes out once N1 has 61% as shown here, note that it flashes which it does not do on Milviz's F
That price is for the complete package, P3D and FSX plus the avionics and the add on pack isn't it? I paid $35 for just the FSX one and no add ons. I'm not sure that those add ons are correct for the 530 either. The pod is supposed to be on the inside of the skids, not on the outside, if the 500 series has floats, they have the skid tube extensions. The model doesn't have this.
OK -- some answers -- Installer version is Milviz MD530 FSX V2.141208. Starter actuates OK and the collar and throttle seem to work OK. The problem is that spool up and N1 is fine but the rotor blades are not turning and then it just spools down again.
Nearly finished my first NZ repaint. Just got to rework the tail boom and the tail now. The real HTT was an E model imported into NZ in 2001. It's now with Nokomai Helicopters. This one isn't for rivet counters, the stripes aren't quite right. Until Milviz release a plain all over white texture, it's going to be an uphill battle.

Rivet counter, blow them, looks BLOODY BRILLIANT ... you can always tinker with it if and when ya feel like it .. only second screaming paint and looks superb!
Great Job -- Sorry I haven't got back re startup problems, but have been away for the weekend unexpectedly, and when I turned my computer on it died. Fortunately its not the main FSX one. had a reply from Milviz and have downloaded 150208, so will get back here when its all go again. thanks
Finally == It's all GO. Latest download fixed it. Startup is very precise but will get used to it. Adding the fuel is quite critical. - Thanks for your help. Warren

It would be a test to see using a throttle quad when fuel is required ... that would something going through the N1 .. watch the gauge then apply , I think if Narutokun dose increase the pilot size ... rather the little boy driving .... I'll be in , think that the best part of FS , people in the 'no' and the compares via photo's , I'll be the same height as you Nick .. 6ft .. just a bean pole tho it would be starters to really look the part .
As you also mentioned in one off your earlier posts - the safety's , I wonder maybe a white bone dome would also look the part ? ... how many pilots don't fly with a helmet anywhere ?
The thing for me is that the starter doesn't make N1 start increasing. The only way I can start it is by pushing the button and then rolling the throttle open. No starter sounds or anything until I roll the throttle. It starts but it's not very accurate. Given the 530s reason for being ie: hot and high work, lifting etc, I'd rather the pilot was wearing a helmet but there are plenty of aerial work pilots that fly without them. I don't feel safe WORKING with just a headset on.
I don't recall seeing a pilot without a helmet .. at one Wanaka airshow, a training day, one off Tim Wallis boys dropped in for gas and would have been only late teens early twenty's and had the sense to ware a helmet .. guess his ole man had something to do with that.
It's certainly not uncommon for pilots to fly with helmets but unfortunately there are operators who wont allow pilots to fly with helmets as it 'scares passengers' It's insane. The other thing is that the 500 is quite noisy and helmets tend to provide better sound protection. In NZ's South Island, I would say a majority of working pilots wear helmets.
