Postby NZ255 » Sun Feb 22, 2015 12:36 pm

Hi there, a completely flightsim unrelated question...... :ph43r:

Can anyone help identify these logos:

The third one looks like "Warren Fowler" but I can't find a matching logo on the internet.

Hi Nick,

Warren Fowlers Quarries, he, they are a general contractor here in Auckland, trucks, diggers etc...
The founder was Warren Fowler who passed away some time ago, they are now called Warren Fowler Earthmovers (they have a web site).

The second one is a bit hard to make out, but it looks like Pro Floors, which again are a contractor here in Auckland (again they have a web site).

Cheers

Thanks a lot! Got Pro Flooring and Coromandel FM, now it's just a matter of finding the Warren Fowler logo.... doesn't seem to exist.

No good with heavy metal, I'd be lucky to move anything with a plastic bucket and shovel in the sand

Whats is the interest with the logo ?

You may find that it is from the 'old days' and it hasn't been used for decades.
Back in those a lot of contracting companies had cartoony type logos, like my Dad's one below.

This was on all of the old utes etc...
I haven't seen that one of Fowlers for a lot of years.

I do remember the Ryan Bros 'earthmoving' here in Christchurch had cartoon logo's from memory I think this was a practice that was done from ex Army-engineers from the Pacific after WWII, just something they picked up from aircraft and after the airfield construction thru out the region.
