Great find on the Video , this would have to be the most wanted/eagerly and missing aircraft for flight simulation, so surprised it took long, this one will be a hot potatoe :)

It would have been nice to have heard the aircraft sounds rather than the elevator music.
The start up prop animations need a little work. The oleo legs do not appear to have any movement on touchdown and the artificial horizon looks weird, especially on that night landing.
I have a feeling...a bad feeling......

I REALLY hope they won't re-utilize their dreaded Viscount soundset...

I can not agree with you more!!! I was so excited about the Viscount but the noise (constant wind up then wind down), of the darts just drives me to nose dive her into the ground! Just makes my ears BLEED!!!

I really do hate that in videos and even real McCoy vid's .. rather the actual engine sounds, but in saying that, go to all the big airshows and all they do is play Woolworths music

That autopilot tho! When i studied the workings of the SEP2 it was laid out in schematic form on a drawing about 3m long, and we had to follow logic paths from one end to the other... must have look and see if i still have it stashed away somewhere

Would be interesting to have a look at, tho was mention the cockpit is base on a variety of so many variant and changes over the years, I do like the look of this one compared to the final update that still fly, on checking the information I have here I found five different versions from photo's in books here and in curiosity checked the internet and it added six more different variations, I think I prefer the older black .. one off the things I did further research on was wing tanks , would have been nice to see those simply for RNZAF paints and the aircraft based out of Wigram ... course would suit many other hand me over from all over the world.

Funny so many mention the engine sound, one had to remember how the engines were loud ... but the in cruise had a harmonic drone .

The spool up seemed quite realistic but the fluctuating torque ruined it for me. The prop governors on the dart are fantastic and when you push the throttles all the way forward you get 15,000 rpm plus / minus sweet FA.

I think generally it going to be a winner, originally there was a NZpost but they were all 500s so i'm guessing wait for the crowds to speak then see if work is done on that, still a long overdue type for FS.

To open up the throttles as he did on the TO roll would cause the the RPM to fluctuate wildly at around 10800 RPM. This is where the props start to come off ground fine and bite.
It was one of the tricky things to learn when operating the F27. Open until just above 10800 or 11000, wait just long enough for the prop to 'bite' and then advance to TO power.
The Milton Shupe/Fraser McKay panel reproduces this aspect very well.

It is going to be good to see the findings and see how they measure up, looking at it they are an icon, other thing wonder how good the paint is.

Yes I do hope the textures don't end up like those shiny plastic/cartoon paints on some of the earlier FSX models.

I been plating < playing around with creating metal textures for the B-52, I want to apply that to an earlier the NAC Friendships with the polished metal , the Captains model did not have specular finish on it making it a little more difficult but I think started make some headway.
