A recent trip a while ago at AKL also carried on to Sydney to do spotting and fly on the 787 B-) :)

Great pics, makes me jealous having only 738 and A320 going overhead.

How would you improve them Ian? I think the whole front would need a redesign....go on, get your pencils out :)

To me, the A380 seems to need another 3 to 5m of fuselage ahead of the wing. The 747SP didn't look quite right either. For balanced elegance, give me an A340-500 every time.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

I have always said the ARBUST 330/340 Series had a look ... May have to go to Nicks idea ... to save my pencil sharpener , I'll get a bloody great rubber and maybe a tissue .... you no how noses are ...

I must be getting corrupted, I'm finding that the A380 nose is growing on me . . . .

it's sort of like a cute little pixie nose .....

Maybe it's old age and I'm seeing beauty in more and more things.

After watching the odd aeroplane or two go by I think when it comes to the airliners I'd probably go with the
following order in the 'just looks right' stakes ...

1 B744 The -400 just looks like it is. Beautiful functional and just 'right'.
2 A330 An Airbus I know but looks so much like a Boeing it just looks good.
3 B767/MD11 A tie. Both great.

Some of the rest are 'okay' but just a load of tin clogging up a runway. $0.02 worth and changable as the wind blows but that's
it for now.

Hmm...that road wouldn't be named after old Colonel Ponsonby, who was drummed out of the regiment?
