Video Space

Postby SeanTK » Thu Mar 19, 2015 11:13 am

I've been considering (off and on) creating videos in FSX, and am wondering about space requirements for the recordings. If I want to record, say, a 30-minute video, are we talking hundreds of GBs (or more) of data here, or what?

Also, I was considering this recording tool:

Hello Sean - this one of mine came to 1.74GB. It is an avi file and runs for just under 10 minutes. In 2013 my bandwidth allowance was 8GB/month so uploading the video chawed up a substantial chunk of that. :(
Best to use the View in YouTube button.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Something I have never played around with but would like to do so I'm guessing it very much the same as creating a Utube video .

IIRC, when I started to upload it to Gurgle Drive, it asked did I want it on YouTube (Google owns them apparently) so I put it there...all I wanted was a working link.

If you are talking about recording requirements, rather than uploaded size, I think it takes about 150MB per minute using Nvidia Shadowplay at 1080p, High Quality.
