Russian + Eastern Euro Cockpits (Imgur album link)

Postby SeanTK » Tue Mar 24, 2015 10:53 am

Twenty-one (21) separate Russian/Soviet or Eastern European aircraft virtual cockpit screenshots. All are FSX-Native.
See how many you can identify. I'll post answers with details on where you can get them sometime tomorrow.
Serves as a nice study/survey of what's out there currently, though the list is not exhaustive.

Ok here we go!

Mi-24
Mi-28
Tu-154
Su-26
An-2
An-32 (not sure)
An-124
Tu-144
L-39 Albatross
No idea
No idea either
MiG-21
No clue
IL-86
Po-2
Ka-50
An-225
Tu-4 (the glass nose is soooo B-29 ;) )
Dunno
Mi-35? EDIT: After a closer examination I saw that we were dealing with a VTOL aircraft (the gauge in the right top corner of the cockpit) and looking at the cockpit we deal with a fighter. And there's only one VTOL jet coming from eastern Europe and that's the Yak-38
IL-2

How many were right? :P

Then another question arises: Where do you find all these high quality addons? I mean, a lot of them seem to have superb VC's! (I'm missing the Tu-135 and Yak-40 in the screenshots though, which are both outstanding freewares, PT 154 level outstanding)

Pity you could not get your hands on a good AN-22 , very surprised you did not put the Tupolev 114 .

Agreed on the -22, and for the list, I only referenced FSX-native models (and of that, what I had available). For example, I don't have any of Bear Studio's Sukhois or MiGs on the list.

Only love for the Russian airplanes!

I'm in so much luck that there are a Mi-6, IL-28, IL-12/14 and a Tu-134A on display at my flightschool ;)

They are locked, but my fellow students and me managed to open the Tu-134 because we found some airstairs lying around :D

Can you imagine the view at 34000ft from here?

How it looked a month ago!

Although they put heavy duty intake covers over the engines it still starts if you remove them. One of the instructors at the school actually flew this particular aircraft and he gave it a go a few years back. They changed the battery and put some fuel into the tanks and it started right away! Although they started just one, it was enough to blow away some trees that were standing behind the aircraft. So now there is a line of trees with a gap just behind the right engine! (as you can see on the last photo) And that for an airplane that hasn't flown in over 20 years! They don't make them like this anymore ;)

There is an awesome freeware version of the Tu-134 that is for FSX, the SCS Tu-134. It's the same level of detail as the Tu-154 of Project Tupolev, so it's fantastic! You should try it Ian!

I do believe I have tried it a few years back, just the fact I'm so 'Greedy' I had to cull my hanger, but those many years ago looking at the 134 there was not a NZFF screenie department... tell ya one thing I to would like that very nose window seat , that would an impressive viewing.
