Problem with sounds

Thanks Ian let you know how I get on. I am asking on behalf of a friend are the hot air balloons in Orbix scenery over Hamilton a add-on or in the package.

I will do a clean cheek through the Pc as you said make sure there are no folders left behind.

I have found FSX flies lingering after uninstall, So hopeful after they are all removed with a clean sweep it should be up and running.

That's all, did you try the sound settings I use , again pointing out I run a desktop stereo set and not head phones.

Yes I did, I went through and no change what so ever. I thought if I try a fresh start after Easter weekend and see what happens.

Hope everyone had a good Easter, I tried doing a fresh reinstall and for some reason the game is not installing it gets to the end, Then wants you to register your code and it wont doing anything else. I tried this a good few times and still argh same thing. So going to do another fresh install and make sure I have not missed any FSX files it does not like. One question how do you Hot air balloons in FSX scenery, I also heard there was a model out there you can fly.

Hope everyone had a good Easter, I tried doing a fresh reinstall and for some reason the game is not installing it gets to the end, Then wants you to register your code and it wont doing anything else.

It dose that silly thing sometimes, run the FSX with activate later, do your settings and adjustments for the evening, install a few off the fave aircraft, and simply have flight. When you go to run it again the next day or so , It will ask you for the activation code, simply put the box code in and it will accept it , I have had that problem before.

I have taken it off before your response but if it does happen again I will give it a shot. FSX has quite a few faults and I don't know if they can be fixed, Its like some missions and it fails to know you have completed them. The sim would crash all of a sudden in the middle of a flight. Stuff like that. Sorry to repeat the question but do you know about the Hot air balloon addons for NZ I see a pic of them flying I think over Hamilton .

I'm very sure that is a ORBX addition , I use HamiltonX witch cancels these addons out.

Ok they did not look very fancy but thought it was a good touch they don't just fly them at Ham

One off those gimmick things they put in , tho Hamilton is one off New Zealand largest balloon festival venues - tho not from the airport.

Could I get you just repeat the sound issue, One thing I have done was send a default file thru and this .. for example fixed a effects problem.

What happens there is no sound for ATC and then when Ai talk or ATC it cuts the sound to the plane to very low Volume

I thought the sound issue maybe coming from the sound card, But no everything else works fine games music ect. I can understand what the fault is. Should I do another clean install, As I don't want to have to reinstall Windows if I can help it.

Have you tried the FSX repair ? , ...... and maybe sometimes a clean install is recommended ... If the sound is working with music and such .

yes I have tried the fix, the music ect is fine engine sound, If atc when they talk it turns the volume right down on engine sound and I cant hear a single word.

How long ago was the install , it maybe best simply go a clean install , is the FSX on separate , maybe format that HD before re-installing.
