There's a Power Metal band from Sweden, called Sabaton. They write songs about war and so "Cliffs of Gallipoli" deals with the infamous battle where so many soldiers lost their lives.
I was at the concert some years ago and they played this song. The singer Joakim wanted everybody to sing along at the beginning and so did the crowd, every single note was just hit perfectly. And in this indescribable moment (which basically lasted until the song was over), the atmosphere was kind of magic and it was like every person in the hall thought of the fallen soldiers on both sides.
So when I hear of ANZAC day, I remember this experience I had some years back at the concert.
I do like, you let us all know it remembered by all sides, ... that dose go both ways ... admiration for the standard Soldier, Naval seamen and Airman from both World Wars what ever country they were from
