Expressions of interest: Flightsim PC and perhiperals

Postby nzav8tor » Wed Apr 29, 2015 10:32 am

Hi guys,

I've accepted an offer to move onto our Global XRS/6000 fleet based in Sydney which means alot of stuff has to go. I'm still in two minds whether to offload my sim PC as it is a nice machine but I don't use it much for simming these days and it is quite a hefty unit which could be better appreciated by someone who is a daily sim flyer. I purchased most of the parts in 2012 and built it with a couple of CD drives and a PSU I already had. One drive is a Blueray DVD-R the other a CD-RW. The chip has been running at a stable 4.2 GHz for quite a while now, doesn't bat an eyelid and the H100 cooler hasn't broken a sweat either. I built this machine specifically for FSX, DCS and Falcon BMS and it runs all three with all settings more or less maxed subject to where you are flying. I haven't tried Prepar3d but I presume it would run even better than FSX does. I'm running the OS and the sims on the SSD and use the other HDD for storage and Office etc.

I'd prefer to sell the box as is with clean drives and Windows 7 home premium 64 bit installed, I guess price would be around the $1000 mark for the box and a bit extra for the monitors. Peripherals to be discussed. It really depends on how much interest there is. The more you buy, the cheaper it is...

Crikey Dave , moving to warmer climes as well ... your going to miss chugging around in your BE-2 , not in the market for a PC but would a bargain for someone , guess they will have to be quick.
