You know Marty I just have to do this...

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

sweet Screens :) ,Ashburton tried to get their hands on a F-111 but the USA got the RAAF to bury them , they may have scored a cockpit , the 'Just Flight Aardvark is superb in regard to the textures and it shows in that screen B-)

Could be the way the shots were taken Ian ..... with these , i tend to use "slew" , and sometimes Ive noticed odd things like , no flex, .... and as you said , the gear..... but , I count on the fact , that people will just see an "F-111" ... and wont refer to a "walk around" publication for each screen .
Again , as you said .... the gear should be "hanging" at that odd angle.... not , compressed as in the shot ...... would have too get up real early , too get one over you :)
Note to myself : Must try harder. ;)

There is an F111 in Darwin museum near the airport. Missing its engines though.

I did get the op's to jump into a cockpit many years back , it was just a pity I have the clutter of an airshow in my view .

Nice to read , and see the F-111 memories.
I was at Whenuapai, when that Oz one went into the sea.... the crash alarm went off .... wooden heads (firemen) where spinning .... didn't know which way to go, turns out they could do nothing anyway.
Within 10 minutes of it being confirmed a crash , the fuel section was locked down .... all the fuel sheets(fuel to aircraft) where removed , water test samples taken (that aircraft had been at Whenuapai for gas) .

I also got to sit in the cockpit of one ..... awesome machines indeed.
