I love it when I fly around new photoscenery and discover things I didn't put there:) This must be part of the VLC NI pack.

Looks like "Springfield's" famous Nuclear power plant, Mr Burns has finally decided to set up here at my request B-)

Looks like the geothermal thingy near Broadlands - I made a basic grass strip for the former airfield, and the long loop in the river lines you up nicely for it.

Yes, it's Ohaaki Geothermal Power Station, which is a one-of-a-kind in NZ, with the 105m natural draft cooling tower. Yes, you could hide a little nuclear power station in there, and nobody would know...
Apparently the geothermal draw-off has caused the nearby marae to sink, so they had to move it. They'd probably be happier with radiation than geothermal...

It funny with many off the kids cereals in the late 1960s and into early 1970s they went on about how great the Geothermal programs for using natural resources and how they recon they could tap more out off it , arr those little cards and pictures , come the late 1970s Oooph's , that all changed real quick , arr the propaganda from a Weetbix box.

Just a smidgen .. all my Tiki Tours around this area I never seen it , mind you I had my eyeballs on the road .
