"ARBUSTED AGAIN X Three" ... yep sorry Ian , but it seems that's the future of CHC.

Chris and Jono are amazed their pics made it onto the web .... without going into detail , they are 150% focused on aviation ...which has its problems (thats why their with me for a while) ...and Im not sure i can help much ...but.
Yesterday evening i heard what i thought was a Herc ..... Jono said "no mate , thats NZ ...whatever from wherever , and its more than likely ZK whatever" (he was more specific , i cant recall the details) Quick check on F/R24 (he had no acsess to it) ....and he's right!.... Amazing..... and that is just the tip of the iceberg , their knowledge , and recall is stunning .
Last night i showed them some of my screens ...without seeing the shot showing the rego ... they spotted NAQ ... and gave the history.
It ended nicely .... after boring them with a 20 minute slide show of my screens ... Chris said "nice to see we have had an influence on your work" B-)

I still cant get my head around the breadth and depth of their knowledge .... and the intense focus .... good boys , and Im enjoying having them here .

Thanks for looking .

That would have been the Convair 540 heading out to the Chatham Islands.

Not all aircraft are equipped with the transmitter and many that have them do not use them or switch them off, these days after pax planes going missing they should also be mandatory, you have many watching flight radar just as a hobby ... someone could have spotted what that Malaysian 777 was doing and going for example.

AGAIN .. Nothing to do with "Not all aircraft are equipped with the transmitter:" these guys KNOW what's flying around .
I know its hard to comprehend , but its true ... Im more than happy to bring them over for a test (as they would be) .... and , you wont win.

:D Bring it on ... I have not even open my brain case off worms on those things , the engineering , the aircraft , the history and the history yet , a two against one, I like the odds :)

No no no Skinman .... you would clean up on the history / engineering side of things ... no contest .

What i meant was ... their super focused (its called autism/aspergers) knowledge of NZ atc , flight schedules , and rego numbers (just airliners) .

As i said ... very few people could spot an aircraft inbound / outbound or in transit ... and with out electronic support , KNOW where its come from and where its going ... and even if its late , and 99.99% be correct.
This is their life ... its hard work for me at the moment , but its fascinating at the same time .

They have befriended (i dont know how) some really nice people , who , for want of a better term are living their dream for them . One is a senior JetStar captain , who hosts them airside from time to time .

Really interesting stuff , its amazing how the old brain works ...... their good guys ... gentle giants , both over 6ft5" and big and bursting with this knowledge.
Their dream at the moment is to fly on the last 737 flight in NZ(which must be soon) ... Im not sure if that info is public or how i could find out , but they would be over the moon .... its more than likely sold out anyway.

I'm sure that could be sorted asking the right peoples here, I guess it something you have to start looking into quick because people across NZ would want the same experience.

Lindstrim ... thank you , one of the lads found out something similar last night (as they do)
We (I'll go as well if possible ) are looking at NZ 532 (CHC-AKL) and NZ 557 (AKL-CHC) same day. (15/09/15)

True but they may be like Eagle and keep at least 1 spare until it's done its last flight then get rid of them once that flight has been done.

They won't leave immediately .. they will sit a Christchurch engineering base , doubt if they will swap them for ARBUST - because off the celeb status of the flight being the final .
