SOFIA in FS2004

Marty I do like the glow of SOFIA in FSX, but still like what I can do with it in FS9.5!
+1 for the scrapbook; Ian's Christchurch still a favourite destination never mind the weather atm - works above 20,000ft

This aircraft replaced the the Starlifter, they put the telescope in the front portion on the C141 , on the that aircraft it was open to the elements, the operators were open to the outside , think I recall up to 26,000 ft course well wrapped up and on O2 , I don't know anything about the the SP , there was talk that they were looking at a sealed observatory due to the optics getting better, be nice to see a doco on the aircraft and its missions here.

I had the chance to look through the starlifter version many moons ago, they were having a freezing issue on one of the scope door actuators which we solved for them with a bit of kiwi ingenuity. She was an amazing aircraft, so i dare say the new version would be even more so
And the screenies look great too!

I was pleased what happened to that C-141 , being the original short A variant getting preserved, It was amazing some of the aircraft , even the NASA ER-2 , I caught them a couple times leaving Christchurch.... we really have had some exotic aircraft out there.
