With saying that, obviously there is something wrong , not sure what sound card you have , but if you do have you tried the MS generic settings ?

I think if I was having all these sort of computer problems, for so long, I would decide to take up Fly Fishing instead...

Lol yup sounds like a plan to me, Sound cards fine I will do some work next week and let you know how I get on. Ps yuck smelly old trout hehe

Its working again, It well worth installing the sound card drivers

Hey you wont not believe it after this whole time no sound again from ATC and when you do missions you hear a faint engine noise till the person stops speaking which you can not hear.
Getting fed up with this issue. Tried reinstalling sound drivers this time no good. I don't know what to do again please help. I am at the stage to go to P3D and forget it.

I've just completed a re-install off OS and FSX , not a backup , complete slate wiped on two separate HDs , not a divided HD , I'm being to wonder if it with remembering there was another file installed at some stage , if everything is on one HD that could be the cause as well.

Yes I see what you mean. Well I am looking further into P3D. I do like FSX and I will keep it but see what P3D has to offer.
