I have the SkySpirit (OpenSkys successor) 777's in P3D and they're great. No VC though! Do these ones have a separate VC/interior model or is it built into the external model?

As an interim measure I've attached the QW 757 VC until I can find something more appropriate.

Project OpenSky really blew my brains out when I first viewed the 747 .. crikey that go's back to 2001/2 .. simply GREAT .. I spent a couple off hour just doing a walk around , super extreme detail for the time .

The archive is still around and some lovely fella's have made the old POSKY stuff compatible with P3D too

I'd be surprised if some areas cannot be transferred across .. most simply use default model ..

I haven't looked at the package as I already have separate versions of the fleet - but as Ian indicated you can add a VC PROVIDED the aircraft is a native FSX model. For info, the difference between FS9 and FSX models is FS9 had the VC modelled with the exterior model. FSX has two separate models for the exterior and interior (VC). By adding a line to the model.cfg and copying the interior model and associated textures to your aircraft, you can easily add or even change the VC. Its quite easy and I managed to add the QW 757 VC to the Opensky 767 and SkySpirit 777. Google "FSX merge default VC" and you'll get a heap of links - many add the default 737-800 VC so that's a good start to get the hang of it. I'm happy to lend my help and advice - as it is I'm still searching for a good quality 777 VC

I don't have the PMDG 777 but find the CaptainSims a goodie cheap and reasonable and with other options , rather the computer do the flying add the maps in yourself which makes it a lot more fun.

Cheers Ian - I have looked at the PMDG and CS VC's but they have too much systems coding that aren't compatible with my Home Cockpit. My switch panel is too simplistic to work with planes requiring such complex procedures unfortunately. That said I did manage to get the PMDG VC in to the sim, but the switches, yoke, pedals and throttle don't move (the plane is still flyable though). Its not a huge issue and more of an annoyance as I don't fly from the VC when using the simpit. I hope to do more testing this weekend.......

Is it just me or does it seem a little awkward and uncomfortable having to download aircraft from Rickooo as EXE files?
Haven't had any virus issues but it just seems unnecessary, unless it's a proper installer that drops files into the right place etc which might make sense.

I think very much that is the requirement unless its from a well published team such as Manfred Jahn or the Milton Shupe Teams or other well known design groups ... the 'Rickooo' Brand sounds too dodge , I'd rather go with tried and trusted .

I run a virtual machine exactly for that reason. Install it in an isolated environment and then copy the files across to my primary installation. Just in case

Ive downloaded gigabytes from that site with no issues at all ... i was a little concerned at first , re the legality , but they credit all the developers (even our Deane B ) and ive yet to have my anti virus (bitdefender plus) find a problem.
