After much planning (not really), much money (not really) and much cursing and swearing, my private airstrip is finally open. Located 9nm SE of Manapouri, the airstrip features my own house, JetA1 and AvGas tanks, 1200m x 30m grass strip and hangerage for rotary and fixed wing aircraft. In addition to providing a base for my own charter and freight flights throughout the country, I am happy to accommodate any fellow pilots passing through.

It's still a work in progress. (The very first time I've tried to do scenery) Lots more planting and possible some more building to do yet. There are no NAVAIDS nor night lighting so daylight hours only please. Also, as the strip is is grass and relatively short, please make sure that you do performance calculations if you are arriving in a fixed wing aircraft. I don't want to have to dig out your machine after you've run off the end.

Landing fees are a pack of chocolate biscuits. Hangerage is available overnight with prior arrangement at the cost of a box of beer.
If you are going to stop by, please try to call the office first just so the Mrs can put the jug on if I'm not there.

BTW: If you're an instructor, no solo students please.

If you would like the file, PM me. It's small and uses mostly VLC library objects. Only tested with NZSI.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Well done Nick!

I have loads of fun creating my own airfields/airstrips,etc, and adding extra objects to existing scenery, using my copy of "Instant Scenery 3"....>>>

Loads of fun, and I have my own private scenery to fly in, just the way I like it!

Paul..... :D ...!
