Still messing about in DCS. The level of detail on the aircraft is amazing (the Hind and Apache are AI ) , the lighting is great , and the depth of field option is magic .... and it keeps getting better.
The quality of the addons is also amazing ...not cheap , but value for money.
Im really only interested in the screenshot value of it .... think Ive only fired the A-10's gun once ^_^
I mentioned in another post about the result (albeit a dream)...but what a dream, of these DCS people and the P3D team getting together ...
Anyway , like TopRob , Im having a ball with this and P3D ..... hope you like the screens.

Rotors have proven difficult to render in the sims... #2 is one of the best I've seen.
I'm too lazy I suspect to go out and buy a hot I7 PC and re-learn all the commands to get DCS flying, so we are reliant on you Marty for the rest of the nice screens :D

Thank you Charl ... i think as far as helicopter visuals go , these guys have nailed it .
The sounds are amazing as well , right down to that nice rotor slap . Dynamics are (from all reports) pretty much the same. I struggle a bit with no pedals and so many key commands.
Im hoping they get a flyable Hind and Apache working .
The scenery is limited , but that is the nature of the sim. Regarding needing a super computer to run it ... i dont think so. I have a very modest system and can run it all on max settings , same in PPD.
But i know what you mean about the multitude of commands and key mapping
Thanks again for the comments Charl.

Have you tried sling load Splitpin, that might challenge your flying skills. BTW have you worked out how to use the Huey Hogs weapons?

weapons are easy, when I get a chance I'll post a how to crank up the weapons in the UH1, it has an x-wing style sight that folds down in front of the pilot. :plane:
