I knew #2 lad would get a scoop .... evidently this arrived this afternoon.

Note the lack of tail code.

Air America job, eh? On hire to the Oz Gummint to spy on Asylum Seekers in the concentration camps, no doubt.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Those engine covers may be a clue ... but a bit hard to make out. Also noticed the bullet fairing on the tail.
Thanks for looking Lindstrim.

My sources ... well , my brother, tells me the clipper has a tail number its just not on the tail as per normal.
Its on the lower aft part of the fuselage and its 20201.

Edit ... i just found it>
"The Clipper is operated by the 201st Airlift Squadron of the Washington DC Air National Guard. The 201st Airlift Squadron provides air transport service to the Executive Branch of Government, Congress and high ranking Department of Defense officials. The squadron is based at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. "
