Thanks Doug , be interesting to see to outcome, I cant see why or all many requested won't or not will fit my criteria, things is sell but also the go in with attitude and history know to match .. Simply finger crossed again ... previous jobs there were a little - require RNZAF service, this appears not to be and if someone dose score the Job , love to find out their abilities .

One thing Marty did say yonks back , don't recall the lines, .. "I had a lot to offer" maybe a visit we did in the past but Fingers Crossed !

Good luck

Mike , It will really put in me in an area, the archives, hell's bells evening the engineering then add mix and add my knowledge course then the possible applications but I am thinking way to far ahead , best thing is the RNZAF boys know me .. its the committee , and other that don't , as I pointed out , over the period and time I was able to build a or on something that shows how intense I get regard to art and graphics ... so that must be a winner.

Ian - the best jobs are those where you get paid for doing something you would happily pay to do.....

Go for it Ian. Sounds very well suited for you.

I'm happy to be a referee for you if needed. As a professional educator, it may hold some weight.

Good luck!

Ade , you remember when we were upstairs and a tour group come through , some started questioning how that works and were things were, as the tour guide went rushing down to find out, I stepped in and took over :D when she gets back I still had to explain it to her ... in my letter I told them I have taken over many tours or least added the extra so in in a way i'm part of the furniture or one off those dummies in behind the glass the pops out every now and again.

If required it would be a pleasure to have a recommendation from a worldly traveler. Thank Matey !

CRIKEY I checked this morning and there is was 1021 viewing the job listing ... I hope its 1011 NZFF members looking and not my competition. :o
Its is next week 29th Feb to 4th Mar they start going thru applications, four other times I have tried to get into Wigram Museum and after those weeks I did not even get a reply back saying the job was taken , its going to be an interesting next week.

Thanks Matey but got a reply this morning ,

Many thanks for your application. As you can imagine we
had a large number of very skilled applicants. We have now
moved on to the stage of interviewing a short listed few.
I am sorry to tell you that you have not reach this list.
But Thanks for your interest in our position and I hope
you have success with your future job hunting.

I simply think its because I was not in the RNZAF ... a lot off it is simply in-house .. friend nudge nudge say know more .

Bugger. Not surprised though, I was kicked out of there years back and it really left a sour taste in my mouth. Turned me off the RNZAF completely.

I tell ya Nick , Its not good when you get talent from anywhere nor the passion or know ... keep the Museum a sterile place rather the opposite , shite its free so generate interest ..but , last week with Grant , bumped into Sam and other guys there .. It just looses it NO POWER INTEREST .. just smelly ole mummy's .

It's improved again over the last few years but maybe 10 years ago when I had a look around it was disgraceful. All the aeroplanes were filthy, displays were mislabeled and there were 'guides' who didn't know a thing about aeroplanes. I hate to say it but that's when it was run by women. That's not me being sexist, it's just the way it was.
