Nothing wrong with that, LOL! Many of my favourite GA aircraft are Carenado flavoured. Mind you - if you see some of Bug's other/recent NZQN shots, you'll see more incredible stuff (as per usual!!) ... but maybe don't quite fit the "Wild Ride" theme.

My entry for the month A2A spitfire close to Queenstown. I feel any ride in a spitfire is wild ride :D

You'd better win this one, Bob - so you can set the next theme ... a **SPITFIRES ONLY** competition! Now that would be truly wild!!!

Nice lighting in that pic - Gavin Conroy would be proud of you!

I had an idea once ... to make a full scale fibre-glass Spitfire replica (with decent perspex canopy and wheels). Easily de-riggable and stowable on a large(ish) trailer. I'd then rent it out for photo opportunities - or just so you could park it on your lawn for a while and totally pi** off your neighbours!

Same deal for air-shows: get a replica WWII flying helmet, goggles, jacket etc. then charge for the mug shots!

Anyone want to come in with me on this little venture?

Ooops ... sorry, Doug - I appear to have derailed the topic (again!!).

Let's be realistic, none of us are going to be able to afford a genuine Spitfire. However, the next best thing might be this

Just checking out Jack's new tower for NZCH...the authorities will be wild about this flight

VLC, NZFF Photoscenery, Troy's airport v1.3, Huub Vink paint on Warwick Carter's FSX GB racer. ( I think that's all of them)

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Re-enacting the invasion plans for WW2.

Just Flight Zero approaches Wellington from the West via Ohau Bay and then over the Wind Farm - I can imagine the wild ride that follows as they weave between the towers trying to avoid having their wings clipped . . . .

Golly gosh, it almost sounds like I'm historically accurate. Ha ha, not.
