The third in a row of back to back slow moving fronts with associated heavy snow and blizzard conditions has now passed to the east but power remains out-all lines down. All roads had been made impassable meaning the regular generator fuel trucks were stuck in Twizel.
Omarama civil defence had gotten a message to us, advising of their plight. No fuel - no electricity
A few phone calls made and we discovered the 'Buffalo' boys were in CHCH as part of their promotional world tour. They were flying the new Basler Turbo Conversion DC-3 and had the 'snow gear' stowed on board..
After a brief consultation with 'Buffalo Joe' McBryan, and crew, a quick load of diesel was organised . The 16 drums were loaded and the skis fitted. The operation was 'old hat' to these boys.
We took to the chopper to do the news coverage filming along the way. We arrived over Omarama and here is a nice air to air shot we got descending in the last few minutes of daylight.
Both aircraft landed safely, cargo delivered, and Omarama turned out to offer the 'Buffalo Boys' some good old southern hospitality. hey hey.

Had a bit of fun with a nice DC-6, but settled on this B-767F at Queenstown - hopefully not *too* overladen or it'll never get out of there!

Hehe ... thanks, Marty! As ever, your Polish is spot on! Mind you, I think there are more Polaks in the UK now than in their native Poland!

I think it would be one off those silly DX10 issues , you can get a payware converter but did diddly swat for me and that was payware .. so its all DX9 and let the sim convert to operate the trusted paywares , KBT is all freeware .. just depends which setting it is I think :)
