Birds ...just 2 pics.

Postby Splitpin » Sun Apr 24, 2016 7:12 pm

A couple of snaps of two of the many birds at work.
Still finding my way around this new camera so excuse the quality ... anyway , a starling on a winter type tree, and one of the swallows that treat me to an airshow every morning.

Grumpy looking little bugger , but really tame...

Thanks for looking Ian ... yep , i feed them as well ..at work and at home .
Ive put a bird feeder in a tree at home , and got a bird bath. First few days they stayed away , then one brave little fella came down for a look ... now , its all go.
Starlings are the crazy ones in the bath ... mafia type birds , just muscle in :)
Great entertainment for free.

Yeah notice the ole Starling gets a bit bitchy at times .. sorta like outta me way, move move , seen a blackbird have a go at a couple of them , it was his roost after all but hes gone, I was able to tell the who's who in the neighbourhood but they only last a couple of years.

Starlings!

A very common sight in my back garden...very social birds amongst themselves!

It always tickles me the way that they walk, rather than hop!

...waddling along, just like little old men, constantly poking the ground, looking for grubs, etc...!.... ....!

Paul.... :D ...!
