My little mate and the moon

Postby Splitpin » Wed May 04, 2016 7:05 pm

Still playing around with this new camera ..... one of the two swallows that entertain me every day , and the moon a few mornings ago.
The moon shot has been tided up a bit .
Watching the little swallows fly is amazing ...high G turns are no problem. In profile (in flight) they look like tiny B2 bombers .

Lovely photo's Marty!

Our lovely old Moon!.... :D ...!

Where would we be without it!

There would be total darkness in my garden every night!... :( ...!

I just hope that Humans don't go anywhere near it, and make a pig's ear out of it.....as they do!........ ...!

My night-time companion!

Paul.... :D ...!

Marty, you can't beat a nice swallow for supper of an evening:
Autumn: A robust red, with some toasted cheese with a sprink of nutmeg.
Winter: A fine single malt, with creamed honey on wholemeal toast.
Spring: A light Marlborough or Otago red, and some roast lamb.
Summer: All of the above, as required and weather permitting, plus some 500ml cans of Asahi beer.

..... ... ... ...!

The Moon looks a long way away....

...but its only the distance that most 18-wheeler trucks regularly travel....250,000 miles, (NOT bloody Kilometres!).

So close, yet so far away!... ...!

Paul...I love my Moon!.... ...as does someone else I know... :wink2: .....>>> Image

Is that the one where there's an old geezer called Isaac and some one drops a computer on his head, so he invents gravity? :D
