Mumble down

Postby Splitpin » Tue Jun 14, 2016 10:03 pm

My dear old mum got ambulanced away to hospital tonight. ( excuse spelling)
Im stopping here tonight ... all was good until she started doing the washing up after dinner (i did offer) when i heard her call out "Im not feeling to good"
Made my way to the kitchen just in time to catch her about to hit the floor.
Rang the ambo people , who arrived within 10 minutes, bless them .... seems it is a combination of high blood pressure and low blood sugar.
Thank God i was here .... may have to rethink my living arrangements and maybe move back here .....still waiting to hear from a doctor.
Will keep you updated.

Worrying news, Marty....

How old is Mum?

My blood pressure gets a bit low now and again..... Taking blood pressure, etc, tablets every day to control what used to be my high blood pressure long ago.

Now I take care when rising off my chairs in case my blood pressure is low, (less that 118/70), possibly resulting in giddiness and falling over!
(I check my blood pressure and heart rate every day, with a strap-on, wrist indicator)

Low blood/sugar level.....suck a sugary boiled sweet now and again.

Its always important to take the medication just as the Doctor prescribed...every day...I do...and it keeps me alive!
I take six different bloody tablets every day...they make sure that I will live forever...LOL...!

I take a careful eye on myself every day...to make sure that I don't die.....Got lots of folks to annoy yet!....trust me!

Love to Mum, Marty...and give her a cuddle from you and all of us!

Paul.... :) ...!

I have finally discovered that my dear old Mum was my best female, and constant true friend, that I have ever encountered during my whole lifetime.

There is nothing quite like your dear old Mum!

Always love, and make the most of her, while she is still with us!

..and always tell her you love her!

Paul.... :wink2: ...!

Wise words there Paul. I will heed them and give my mum a call this evening as I have not done so for some time....mind you she is a terrible communicator in that she never returns calls or texts and emails etc.
If it weren't for facebook I wouldn't know much about what is going on in her life. Trouble is I HATE Facebook.

Keep taking your pills Paul. Waking up dead will really spoil your day :)

Thanks Paul and Ian .... got her home this morning. Shes a bit shaky on the landing gear , so i took the day off and just hung around.
My brother is there tonight and I'll take another day off on thursday just to keep an eye on the old girl.

But all in all , for 82 , with health issues , shes doing pretty well, and still sharp a knife . Im only 5 mins drive away , which is good.
She sends her best to you all , and an invite to you Paul ... should you be passing this way :)
