Surprised Marty's boy's Jono and Chris did not pick up on this .. we would have had photo's and a running commentary.

Yea I think it was a nocturnal arrival (?) and they hid it pretty well over in front of the RNZAF building. http://mrcaviation.blogspot.co.nz/2016/ ... parts.html

I only saw the nose as I walked from the carpark to work

Providing that I keep taking my Prostate Gland medicine, I find that I can do a few fluid ounces of "P" (Pee) every now and again!

The wonders of medication....(for legal purposes).... ...!

I recall having a back cold/flu least 15 years back and stopping at the local chemist for what was then known as 'COLDREX' used it for years and it worked well and relieved symptoms really quick, those 15 years back I was requested ID to buy it over the counter..... ?, it was then I found out Criminals and Scumbags figured out you cook this stuff cos it the a primary ingredient for 'P' and many stockists were getting smash and grabs,

Interesting discussion gents ... we may never know what it was that dropped the goods .
The main thing is , its not in the right hands (we assume) .. tell you what , i wouldn't want to be the driver of that camper van right now ... when the "boss" finds out its gone
Bet you a hundred the crap was out of China (so no expense spared there) .... and those boys will want answers.

Personally , i find the whole thing a bit strange .... mystery aircraft (if any) off duty cop , washed up boat , .... hmmm .
The war on drugs .... sorry , but yet another ... hmmmm .
Conspiracy theorist I may well be proved to be .... but it all seems a little too convenient to me.

No excuse ... They exactly what was there, two more tonight ... half a ton plus a singled bag/case buried in the sand .... one/couple of criminal/convict already looking for extra cash (own private stach) ... You don't have to bright to figure out what the type are up to , its lethal , think off the extra misery and ... then added crime , a 'Delete' button for these people would be ideal .... I think if you been on the receiving ya get this real anti crim ... forget the aircraft .. DEATH PENALTY !

I could never figure out certain folks desperate need for mind-bending, brain-destroying, illicit drugs!

Myself, and member of my large family, have never felt the urge to want, or experiment, with such dangerous substances!

Something which never crosses my/our mind.

It depresses me, whenever I read in the news, California, and other US States, making the taking of such stuff perfectly legal!

The thought of some fruit-case, high on Marijuana, Cocaine, Xtal Meths, Booze, etc, heading towards me on my motorbike, in a car, truck, etc, fills me with dread every time I take to the road.

Like Ian says....thin 'em out, and string 'em up!

According to the daily news I read...>>> http://www.police.govt.nz/stolenwanted/ten7 the same problem exists in NZ!

Paul.... ....!

Where's the nearest refuel then, for a 90 Mile Beach Dropoff?

KKE would be the closest airfield with the appropriate facilities.

One point about the aircraft theory is that supposedly all the lights were on, now I'm not the smartest person out there but generally if you want to be undetected then turning them off would have been a good start?

Further to this there has been an RAAF C-27 operating around NZ but I've read that it has been grounded in CHC for some reason and I'm not 100% sure of the dates involved in this drop off?

It depends doing a drop like that would require a lot of coordination the aircraft has to cross a point and locate the boat to do the drop, both need to be communicating to each other and the drop has to be close to the boat in such a case so lights on in order for the pick up to see the aircraft also at night an aircraft with lights off raises more questions than with lights on. So the Police could check cell phones use in that area to locate the aircrafts origin. :wink2:

Paul, there was an example like that in Auckland 4 ta 5 years back, one of these hidden camera reports was lucky to catch the kid, the report went directly to the police, turned out it was the parents supplying, it wasn't an illegal drug then, it was these poppy pills, fact was the kid was only 8 or 9 so that is were it starts.

Just to set the record straight on a few things;
1, There is avgas at KTA (albiet on prior arrangement)
2, To my knowledge the aircraft did not touch ground at KTA or KKE
3, Actually seeing this "aircraft" on the night it appears to be a Aztec or Seneca sized twin.

Any way these guys want to spread their s*** in my backyard I seriously hope the book gets thrown at them completely.

I completely agree Matt, but these days the book is Far far too soft, they laugh it off .... these types know exactly what they are going use it for so no excuse, need to find an Island create a new prison .. one out off swimming distance, shark infested waters if possible.
