Animals, etc, don't have facial muscles like us, but I love watching the movements of Dog's eyes and eye-brows, to detect their mood!

Those big brown eyes have a lot to say!

Especially when they are looking at one of my legs?

...Edible...or Sex?

Took the old chap back to the vet tonight for blood tests and a follow up.
Seems he is 98% ok for his age ... but the blood work will fill in the gaps.
He was well behaved while they did his blood pressure ( a little thing around his tail) ...looked at his eyes , took his temp <_< (glad Im not a cat) and then he decided ..." Im all done here thanks" , and got back into the carry bag i fought to get him into at home ... by himself.

Anyway ... you do what you do.
Will have the blood results on thursday .

Good to know that Whitney is progressing well, Marty.

Its stressful enough for we Humans when visiting the Docs, but it must be very confusing for animals....

...especially when observing the approaching thermometer.... ...!

Brings tears to the eyes!

I hope all is well with moggy. I know how you and your partner are feeling.
On Tuesday I had to make the hard call on my best friend. She got a blockage of some sort that wouldn't clear and
xrays and ultrasound picked up several lumps and nodules in all the wrong places, so combined with the advanced arthritis and
being 13yrs old the decision had to be made ,hard though it was.
Luckily we have a really good team of vets locally and Sandy was a favorite so they came to the house and, with us all there, our
most cherished and pampered friend went quietly to a better place.
Absolutely gutted. Not a dry eye in the place for the last two days.

thanks guys
I know the loss of a pet in no way matches the loss of a lifetime partner but it does still hurt.
Doug, I might not post often but please know that I feel for you and your loss.

When it comes to Pets, and their longevity....

...the reason why I have always liked pet Tortoises...

They are likely to out-live me, rather than the other way round!

.....Providing that you/I remember to take them out of the cardboard box when they have finished hibernating for the Winter!.... ...!

Folks recommend a Female Dog (gentle temperament) for me, as company, but I know I wouldn't have the patience to look after them properly, so that's a no-no!

I will have to stick to my Teddy Bear, Rupert.... :) ...!

Paul.... :D ...!
