Magic indeed :D

Love the autogen placement of the houses!
Was that all by hand or have you got data?

Cheers, the buildings were hand-placed, this was pretty much the way I did the subscription -- a 'first pass' using Scenproc to place the larger native/exotic/brush polys, then everything else by hand. I'm still finding little settlements which need autogen:)

This is one thing with many people, a lot say I don't or won't buy photo real scenery because random autogen, one other excuse is lack of seasons .. that is easy fixed with weather themes , one thing that is unique here with 'Real New Zealand' is hand crafted autogen on Many many scenery's making it a world leader, whether it is payware or freeware , glue the lot together and its a winner, and this is what blow's most people away, to be able to view a street, then your home, Now that is Flight Simulation.

I've now opened prepay for Subscribers, I normally wouldn't do this while still a couple of months away from release, but it is a way in which those who already know me well will know that they will get something nice in the end, even though they wait and wait and wait...

Prepay is exactly that, you pay now, and get nothing till the release. Still, you do get half off, although I don't mean to imply that subscribers will only get the discount by prepaying. It may continue after release, as a small thanks for your ongoing support.

As I've implied recently, I really hope to use my work-flow methods to kick NZWN back into life, for a release earlyish next year. This is already bought and paid for by subscribers, though.

If you ask yourself why you should prepay, the answer is probably that you shouldn't, but if you don't have to ask, then I'd appreciate your support until I can get this on the market. One thing I can think of -- since Dunedin will be released closer to Xmas, you might be better-off putting the money aside now, as Christmas can be an expensive time, especially if you have kids -- so think of the Children!! :P

Yep I'm in.

One minor thing you may want to look at Rob is that on the Godzone home page the banner window "Subscription Multi Installers now available" is practically unreadable in part because of the bright background between the cloud base and the landscape. The other banners seem fine.
I see there was a question on Air DailyX regarding the status of Wellington.

Thanks for that.
I normally just check to make sure that the 'read more' button is visible, as the main text is always going to be troublesome against the screenshots. And when I made these shots, I was going through my 'HDR' phase....
The slides on the main page are normally meant to be replaced regularly, but these ones have stayed for a while, I admit. When I have a couple of Real NZ projects finished, things should start to pick up. I like the slides with airport closeups, which tend to be a bit easier-going under the text.
The main issue with the slides is that the whole site is designed to resize depending on the display size, so some devices will be better than others -- on my tablet, it's pretty unreadable, but on my phone the pic is actually displayed separately, which works quite well.

Next time you stop Marty, I show you a little play with the AGN tool, at the mo more concern artwork, I need to get three done double quick time , but generally I think you would enjoy have a dabble ..Hamilton was not completed , that's a good stable and most done .. there are a hamlets and farms , hand placed AGN , example Nelson of Hokitika Whanganui or even Christchurch shows extraordinary results.

Thanks to the couple of people (both members here) who have contacted me following the post on Orbx covering the possibility of getting more NZ airports by supplying their developers with photos... I'd certainly encourage members here to do this, but there's a reason why I wouldn't get involved -- the Orbx post does state that photos are to see what's there only, actual Orbx airports would be built from library objects. My 'thing' is to build textures from actual photos, and I'll keep doing that, as I really have no interest in the 'Other' way of doing things.

Here's a Taieri shot comparing Prepar3d with real life, getting those two to match is my main goal.

With two possible NZCH''SS s on the go .. it maybe time to return to my old haunt, Wigram .. simply take it slow, one thing I do have is the camera , Hell's if one can open Megis .. Wigram would be a dream to many and the way things have developed with recent aircraft , be a choice little project on the side.
