That reminds me of an episode of House I watched last night (I'm binging on Netflix -- up to season 8....) the guy fell in love with his blow-up doll.

I'd certainly encourage members here to do this, but there's a reason why I wouldn't get involved -- the Orbx post does state that photos are to see what's there only, actual Orbx airports would be built from library objects. My 'thing' is to build textures from actual photos, and I'll keep doing that, as I really have no interest in the 'Other' way of doing things.

Here's a Taieri shot comparing Prepar3d with real life, getting those two to match is my main goal.

Looking slick mate, well done! I'm loving those tree textures too, you can look and tell immediately that it's in NZ.

You should do one of these: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/js-image-c ... n-sliders/ A comparison slider so you can do a comparison between real life and sim pictures. It's something I've wanted to do but it's one of those things that gets put on the back burner!

There is a ORBX possible and another group ... course I guess I could quietly return to it myself.

Thanks. I'd say do it quietly. You might well find being the only one actually doing it.

Kind regards, Michael

Ah yes, thanks Robin. Not one of the very established groups but would be very welcome if they really did it.

Kind regards, Michael

Funny how the old days no one wanted the touch a large airport ... Auckland has had it s .. YIP we are going to do it and fizzles out .. Funny! if I was working full time ... you would probably see more progress  That was how I worked ...

Yeah, I kicked off that discussion 'over there's but despite what Tim at Orbx advised, we know their appetite for the NZ market is slim, so I don't think your income stream is in any danger Rob!
To be honest I have almost no NZ scenery installed at the moment as I am still on my 'world trip' but when I am done with that my intention is to completely wipe and rebuild with only NZ scenery and I'll be buying and installing whatever is needed to make the best NZ possible.

Jeff , one thing tonight , I invited a newbie school teacher to check out sorta what really happens behind the scene's but also to get to understand the photo real , It will be interesting to get her take on things , her brothers are plane mad as well .. so they have been invited as well ... that would make for a real ... lets see what it is all about time.

You should definitely do it, Ian and you're welcome to have all my photos again which were lost. I can easily transfer them or send a CD.

My modern sims still have Hatfield active, no way am I disabling de Havilland's site even if it is now a housing estate and university campus.

I also have entire FS2004 installs time-locked to 1903-1945 and 1945-1970 thanks to Golden and Silver Wings and CalClassic. :o

Now I have an extra FSX courtesy of Steam, I may populate that with entirely 1940s airfields. In fact I'd love to see a wartime Wigram, but first things first

Back to Wigram , seems everyone is not happy about politics of closing airports or some of the decision in designs, even ORBX rebuilt Megis , you with your Hatfield , I'm very sure I find your Wigram photos, I have to go back thru the external HD, very sure that is were I found em, as I said I've now also got myself a good camera so that would help.

I pick a book on the history of Wigram , has quite a few historical photo's for backup
