Ade, I think you would find its a goodie, ... the paint kit is very easy and is well thought out .. that one would be superb keeping the detail. :)

I have a Chathams Pacific livery for v.1 of the Skytrain. I tried putting it on v.3, and as I expected the nose paint didn't fit properly, because of the revised shape used in v.2. Version 2 came with instructions for updating the v.1 paints, for use with v.2, and those v.2 paints will fit properly on v.3...only thing is, the v.1 paint is taking off with chocks still attached.. I need to tamper with the cfg some more, swap in a different (v.3) mdl file perhaps.

I could make your repaint fit the v3 model if you like Mike ...

There is a nose revision as well , just a small update, but generally the same ... really all and all work the V2 paint build that as a template then transfer to the V3 paint , one thing I think this is were Gordo really thought it out B-)

Adrian, it's not my repaint. It is by the late Frank (Reinaldo) Gonzalez. All his work was left to CalClassic, and Tom is steadily releasing them. http://www.calclassic.com/frank.html
I have the same model painted as "Betsy" of Cathay Pacific - pretty sure Frank did that one, too.
I'll see what I can find.

EDIT: I was wrong about the "Betsy" paint. It is by Fongman Chan, in 1940s and '50s liveries, both at flightsim.com.

This is weird - I haven't touched a thing, but the chocks are now behaving themselves

FS9 paint on v1 model, in FSX

Same paint on v3.1.2 model, showing the nose shape problem.

Where are the chocks of yesterday?

Mike , you be able to cut and splice paste and then all nice, basically all DC-3 paints historical will work .. even the Jon Murchison 'Awesome Foursome' as they are all built off the same model ... would just require a little touch up were the model has been adjusted .. I should do this with my earlier MOT and Cropduster ... you have almost completed the entire paint within a few hours B-)

It might be quicker to add Manfred's mdl and air files to the DC3 folder where the Awesome4some ones live, and edit that cfg to call what you want - Viewmaster, Cargo, Ski-fitted :) etc.

I see two different paints though,...both in 2015...think il put the more pretty " Air Chathams" as apposed to the boring Air Chathams LTD...i'l put the Chathams Islands decal on tail and other small details..

I think will require a little research , they chop and change things very regular ... tell one thing , I love to go just for a flight .. not a comfy seat .. jump seat will do me there and back ... sure I could hand out the lolly's on the way out and the Crayfish on the way's back :)

Looking at that I believe it is all the same 'Deep Emerald Green' on the cheatline.
