Books like these really give some insight into the other sides hero's, least Adolf Galland had the gonads to stand up to the Nazi Hierarchy and survive it, love the documentary's you can find when he gets interviewed course some of his stories .. Great find Mike, ... hey look at the prices

There was one shop in Brisbane I found but it was a Sunday afternoon during the 'World Expo' and just across the bridge and it was closes, that was 1988 so I doubt if the technical book shop is there now. We did have a technical book shop here in Riccarton, now called the Wind Mill center , the shop had operated for years, sold to another , John with a wife ... Wifey did not like the margin and cost of the books on the shelf .. I was a regular but it got poofty and lost its appeal and was turned into a cafe ... obviously Wifey wore the pants in the house

When I first moved up here in 1994, there were three Archives shops, = about 3 million books, and the American Book Store all in the same street. Archives changed hands 10 or 12 years back and consolidated to just one store. The ABS has moved out to Toowong now, after a few years upstairs from the shopfront I knew. They may have been in Queen St when you visited - that end was pedestrianised for the Expo. Anyway, straight over the bridge would put you in Queen St.

I think with technical book shops they are very specialize and today internet makes it so easy to get required and specific detailed books which for people like me and yourself a must have for research, and you make sure you don't one on the subject , half a dozen is a good number
