Its the start of October now, the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting cooler, as dictated by my Gas Central Heating System!

Today, Monday, was a nice warm, sunny day, for a change, so I took the opportunity to drag my Yamaha from under the front porch in the late afternoon sun, and give her a nice clean and polish all over...all that chrome takes a lot of looking after (same as the Rebel)!

My Honda CB500RR Twin is parked indoors (house!), so the Yamaha and Rebel are parked outside, with the Rebel under a waterproof (???) cover and the Yammy parked under the porch!
Both secured with heavy duty locks and chains. (Already had 2 Bikes and 2 Cars stolen in the past).

A walk around, showing off my two babies gleaming the the afternoon sun!...>>>>

...its the Honda Rebel trade mark, Ian.... ....!

Most of them have it...... If the bike falls onto its side, the handlebars/forks swivel around and the directions indicator(s) put a ding the tank!
(Previous owners).

I have the Deluxe version of the Rebel.... with a ding in the tank...on BOTH sides... ...!

We get to love the dings after a while!

Paul....with Two Dings..... ....!

I was in the shop picking up my weekly aircraft subscription, one nice chap stayed back to had the notice over , should have got more details but the fact is your get others who cause the mistrust in others .. especially the cowboys.

I don't ever want to get involve in Traffic disputes with other drivers, if I can possibly help it.

Far too stressful!

I always try to park my bike where other motorists cant get at it!

Good observation when on the move, also helps!

As far as 'Kabooms' go, the Bruce Highway from Bris-bunn to Cairns is a very long, very busy, and not very good highway, so it sees a lot of accidents. One location is a little place called Kybong, and at least once a week I see a traffic warning "Bruce Hwy closed all directions due to traffic crash, Kybong".
That always makes me smile, but it is not really funny - road accidents are nothing to laugh about.

Hello my Chums ...

..for you delectability.... :D ...!

Latest upload of my recent trip around my local country roads on a rather blustery but dry day, demonstrating the poor state of some of the small Herefordshire country roads and lanes!.

A bumpy ride in many places, with my wind-shield bumping off my headlamp shell, my feet bouncing off the foot-rests, and my helmet bouncing off my head!

With me being very light, and my bike being very light, the combination of both of us results in being tossed around quite a lot!

Apparently big, heavy, Harley Davidson Street-Glide Cruisers, and their big, heavy riders, don't suffer such discomfort!... ...!

Any-who...

Enjoy the video. (Its 3/4 hour long, but you are permitted to skip it in places!)... ;) ...!

You said it was dry but some place looked as if there had been recent rain - is that right or was it just the way the light was shining on the road?

Also at one point it looked like the centre line has red colouration around the white centre lines - I wondered about the cause of that too.

Overall it made me regret that I hadn't kept my bike and therefore can no longer enjoy this sort of trip - on the other hand my downhill mountain bike riders provide me with a bit too much excitement for a bloke my age!!

Probably left by some unfortunate, throttle-happy motorcyclist who came unstuck crossing over the centre line into an on-coming Herefordshire Cow...

Got to watch-out for animals in the countryside... ;) ...!

Paul.... ....!

P.S. Most of the American roads carry double yellow lines along most of the centre of their carriageways, and woe-betide you if a LAPD/SFPD Cop catches you crossing over them to overtake, etc!...
...Ticket on the way!
Same with the "Stop Signs" at road intersections. (I love them!), Creep past/ignore them at your peril!
