Flight1 GTN warning

Postby Agent X20 » Sat Oct 22, 2016 8:53 pm

A warning for anyone who has or will update their FLight1 GTN650 or 750 to the new version 1.17 that uses the newer version of the Garmin trainer package. This trainer version does NOT include any airfield outside the US shorter than 4000'. Really.

Flight1 are looking for solutions as noted here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic56 ... EN=TS.html

I gather some folks have identified interim workarounds in other threads in the same support forum but I've not tried 'em.

This is very annoying in that my brand new Air Hauler 2 home base simply doesn't exist as far as this new version of the 750 is concerned. I think I'll be rolling back to trusty 1.14 and its trainer version. If it ain't broke...

This is one thing would be handy, generally I use physical maps just to add to the extra work in between locations and around New Zealand I can pretty much dial the heading from the brain case , another little Nav tool at a later stage.

I've successfully loaded the older trainer worldwide database into the newest version of the 750.

NZPP is back at least!

That's great news, I'm still installing my stuff, I never went for the electronic map , as I said using real map dose make a lot more interesting checking in with NDB's/VOR , course in New Zealand got to know it so well its hard to get lost.
