RealNZParaparaumu

Postby Pato » Wed Nov 02, 2016 11:23 am

My FSX Steam is on my "E" drive and NZPP has been installed to the usual place on my "C" drive. It is a while since I have done this and need advice.
I presume it is not just a matter of adding the new scenery as it will conflict with the default Paraparaumu scenery.?

Hi Pat, you should be able to simply plop in and run, I've still got to install PP but I'm sure you will be good to go.

In that case I must have done something wrong when I tried to add the scenery, because it's a horrible mess. Just wanted to be sure it was as easy as you say before I continued.

I think I have woken up. There is a .bgl file in World, to correct the elevation, which I overlooked. I'll get there in the end, the problem is lack of youth.!!

Sorry, I've been out this morning, just catching up, but it is clear you have solved this -- I had to read the manual, but there is just the one file outside the NZPP scenery folder, and that's the one you've found. So you can just activate the folder as usual once the NZPPmin.bgl is in Scenery\World\Scenery.

I re-read the Manual and added that .bgl file. Although I still only see roofs of some of the houses, but perhaps that is how it is depicted. Perhaps I am expecting too much. It is certainly more realistic than the default airport and appreciated. Now to install Wellington Intl and Marlborough.

Just installed 'Real NZ Marlborough' and it installed ok, but I have ended up with numerous "AgStrips" which I don't recall when I installed in some years ago. Any comments.?

I think those came with the last version of VLC. You can switch them off with the VLC Config Tool.
Hope this helps

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'
