SAY .. ;) Don't ya love the North Wester .. great photo's Chris B-) , great to see the Boeing's simply plop in .. I notice two ARBUSTS required to do go arounds again , guessing would have been more , I simply love the N/West winds B-)

Yep a 29 weekend, (and previous couple of days), as around 500-1000ft it was quite a strong wind, 30-50kts.

Not too sure about why the Bus does more go-around's, can only speculate as one did just in front of us in WLG yesterday, yet we got in.

There was a few souls out when we came back this afternoon. (MVA)

Funny the old days when deciding aircraft types for NZ back in the late 1960s Boeing was the solid choice because it flew thru the rough air , BAC111 and DC-9 and Caravelle were not going to cut the mustard , appears ARBUSTS are proving what was proved 40 years back .. let the pilots fly the plane rather the plane fly the pilots.
