Not long now before the "Operation Deep Freeze", SOFIA did its job I guess then off to the North, something I would like to get back out to is the open day they have out there, only six/seven weeks away.

Stay's NorthWest tomorrow or next we may catch them over the city , couple years back had a couple crew stop here .. obviously in the area for the 'Tucker' on there way out notice the , my signage and stopped in , from NY they knew of my artwork from there and could not believe they stumbled on it , forgot their names now , but it was funny when they come in , in a US Air Force van .. instead of just pulling in here on the angle , the driver parked the van blocking the driveway :D , that would be a choice painting , the LC , they loved the 'Connie' paintings .

There's a pair of SH-60's flying around the countryside at the moment, just saw the nose of one parked up on the Deep Freeze apron in CHC this afternoon.

The Americans have offered up two from a visiting warship to help out with Kaikoura evacuations. The Japanese P-1 patrol aircraft are also deployed.

'Tis the season for biz jets, and there are some nicely coloured ones flying around the country right now, including a brightly painted Gulfstream on the deep freeze apron this morning.
