Impressive!... ....!

I'm afraid to ask.....

Where did the animated water effect come from?

Never seen anything like that before!

Mare's Tails on the wave tops!

Paul.... :D ....!

Very good Ian! Off of Chatham Island. These wave animations are amazing...I mean WAAAAAAYYYY cooler than this screen does them justice. They have undulating heavy bobbing effect. The froth animates to.the tops and dissipates. P3DV3.with water detail set to ULTRA. The aircraft shadow moves across the waves as they move and bends over the peeks and valleys. Flying low level I swore for a moment that I was looking at a real scene. Flying high speed is increadable. Gives depth perception as you can see the waves moving. You can also fly in between the swells! If you place the winds VERY high you can get HUGE swells. I mean gigantic.

Be interesting to find out if the have photo'd the Chatham Islands, not much there, harsh and wind blown with population of around 500 peoples, whooping great lagoon, back in the 1967 started a service with S.A.F.E Air Bristol's, from there to get to the township of Whaitangi they had this old WWII dual axle GMC heav'ly modified to cross the lagoon with a old bus cabin raised higher and sure they modified the wheel base to fit large oversize tires. .... I'll have to try your idea . B-)

So....

It looks like one needs P3D to get the animated water effects..... :( ...!

At present my collection only runs from FUII/FS'98/2000/2002/2004 to FSX.

My enthusiasm hasn't extended to P3D so far!... ...!

Practically ALL my "flying" is based on touring scenery, rather than admiring aircraft!... :) ....!

My FSX scenery maxed-out looks very nice.....maybe P3D scenery is even better?.... ...!

Paul....The Intrepid Explorer.... :D ....!

Paul P3D still requires adding scenery, I'm still exploring it myself tho have not turned on FSim PC for over five days now, had other things going on.
