Best thing is try something on your own ... you have a good 48 hours to show me some results, it is easy and self produce, maybe you never know , better than mine :)

I would not say that. I will take a pic on the Weekend and show you where I am. My camera is loaded down with airshow photos at the moment.

On a blank piece going to try shading with a graphite pencil. To see what the prop looks like.

After sitting down today for a good hour there was just something not quite right so I am in the process of redoing it. I could not do it in pen like you Ian.
I am hoping to get more time tomorrow so will more than likely post a picture on Sunday or Monday when I have done what needs doing. I was going to think about doing a background
but for my first attempt I will keep it easy and leave it as a high flying shot.

I am using a 2B the problem is that I want to keep a good point so the lines are true. Seems to go blunt to quickly. Maybe using the wrong pencil.

Any grade of pencil will give you the same result , just apply less weight with your hand , same with the ball point pen.

Thank Ian, I realized that but to do around the window frames on the Harvard you need the nib to be really pointed to get the best effect. I find if it starts to get to rounded the window panel
get to thick. Everything else is fine. Really busy weekend so did not get allot of time to do drawing but when I get some more time I will post a pic. I find it allot harder to do in artificial light
