Are P3D version updates Free ? I am still on v2

Do you have to buy the sim included say with V4 each time you want updates ?

Each major upgrade -- 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -- you pay for, while minor upgrades within each version are free. So you'll pay once for all 4.x versions.
