A round-up of P3D v3 scenics - lots!

Postby toprob » Tue May 30, 2017 10:11 am

These are a random collection of recent shots, chosen for their 'scenic' value. P3D v3 certainly looks nice, but I will switch my license to v4 as soon as I can. So this might be the last screenshots I ever take from v3.

Looking very good Rob
A great variety but there are a few there that I have no clue where they were taken. It seems there is still much of NZ open for further exploration on my part! :P

Not surprising, as much of these shows scenery which hasn't been released -- mainly the Coromandel and Banks Peninsula, but there's also the updated Alps to come. I do have a plan to release as much as I can to subscribers, even though I had hoped to 'finish' some areas first. It does seem like a good idea just to get it out there, even if it is only available to subscribers until I manage to finish some airports.

This will be a priority once I get my head around the new sims. For instance, I'd love to see a multi-sim Coromandel, including X-plane, as it is a good size, and an interesting area. In the meantime, interest in the upcoming new sims has pressed pause on local sales. My computer tells me I sold one scenery last week. Even I can't live on $16 a week, so it isn't quite as easy as just releasing stuff and hoping for the best.

Stunning work... all you need's a good press agent to get that stuff into the wild.

Ain't that the truth. Shortly I'll put out a request for those who like my scenery, and want to see more, to just let people know. Word of mouth is about all I have at the moment, and NZers are very shy for some reason... The same goes for reviews -- there were a few people who mentioned doing a review of Dunedin when it came out, so here's just a reminder that this is something that potential customers look for -- a good, honest review, the good and bad, goes a long way to creating enough trust in a developer that people are prepared to actually spend money.

Photoscenery is slowly losing its poor-relation status, which is great for me, but of course airports are what people really want. It's airports which take a real investment in time and funds, and it's there that I'm lacking at the moment. So if anyone hasn't yet bought my scenery -- including the subscription -- then that's one way to 'invest' in some future airports.
