....still searching for the Holy Grail in filtering out unwanted noise in my video recordings....>>>

Helmet-mounted Camera.

Test: Placement of the Camera remote Microphone:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5fT8of09iA&t=16s

It has stopped the wind noise in the microphone, (when its fitted in my open face helmet), but the Primary Transmission Gear whine is still there; the result of high mileage, too many previous owners, and insufficient regular oil changes by them all!.... ....!

Maybe I'm expecting my bike to sound; "too clean", like a brand new Harley Davidson Street Glide, instead of a 1996, 30,000+ mile, Honda Rebel Cruiser!.... ....!

All I really want, is to record the pulse of my exhaust note.... ...!

Maybe I should forget about recording the ambient sounds, and just add Rock 'n Roll/Heavy Metal music to the videos?.... ;) .... ...!

...or stick the Mic up one of the exhaust pipes?... :o ...!

Paul...still experimenting.... ;) ...!

Ta, Ian!..... :D ...!

Its always nice to get a response to my Travels!

Saturday:
The Weather Forecast for this Bank Holiday Weekend was supposed to be a scorcher.... :o .....

...but the BBC Weather Man is always telling me fibs!... ...!

I was dying to go out on my Bike, even for a short ride, so even though it was getting a bit late in the day, and the weather was a bit poo, I decided to pop to the local shops on my Trusty Bike.
The trip was so enjoyable that I smiled and waved my hand at everybody, and they all smiled and waved back to me!

Its nice enjoying the trip in a happy mood!

Courtesy on the road is a wonderful thing!

I hope tomorrow, Sunday, will be nicer, for a ride to Abergavenny to meet up with the Bikers!

We will have to see what tomorrow brings...Mr Weather Man!... ;) ....!

Sunday the 7th of May 2017.

A leisurely motorcycle ride through the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, in glorious sunshine, from the town of Coleford to the town of Cinderford, via the village of Parkend with its Steam Locomotive displays and rides!

Part of a long journey around the Counties of Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, and Gloucestershire, and involving a meet-up with fellow Motorcyclists at Abergavenny in Wales!

A wonderful day's outing in warm May sunshine!

Enjoy the ride with me, through the Bluebell woods!

My latest escapade, last Sunday; a return trip back to Hereford from the Biker meet-up at Abergavenny in Wales.

Some glorious rolling Monmouthshire and Herefordshire countryside, in a rare spot of sunshine!

Enjoy......I did!..... 8-) ...!

Hello Chums!.... :D ...!

More of Fozzer's Marvellous Motorcycle Tours!.... :D ....!

Part of a long afternoon tour, culminating in a trip along some very narrow (single carriageway!) hedge-row lined, country roads/lanes!

A tour of the villages of Kinnersley, Almeley, and Eardisley, where I spent many years in the 1940's and early 1950's, perched on the pillion seat of my Uncle Bill's 1948 Royal Enfield 350cc Bullet (The REAL/ORIGINAL one, with a Mag/Dyno!).... :wink2: ...!

Lovely, but dangerous lanes, bordered by high hedges limiting visibility of both the scenery, and approaching vehicles!

...typical of English Country Roads!

Wonderful for exercising the rear; "Sphincter Muscles"!....Trust me!.... :o .... ....!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFD771lZ-3Q&t=231s

I hope you enjoyed my Nostalgic trip!

Don't forget to; "Like", and "Subscribe", for more 2-wheeled excitement, now that Summer has arrived!.... ;) ....!

Paul.... :D ...!

P.S... I will always be missing our dear old Ian's replies to my motorcycle escapades on the NZFF Forum! He was also a keen Motorcyclist long ago!.... ....!

Latest stuff on Father's Day...>>>

Wowzers!

Summer is upon us, with temperatures exceeding 80 degrees F!

De-hydration!

Just been reading that drinking Coffee dehydrates you, (sucks all the water out of you), on a hot day, so I have taken to drinking the old British favourite; "Tetley Tea!"
..a nice, refreshing drink!

https://www.tetley.co.uk/

Anyhoo!... ;) ... ;) ...

Last Sunday's, (Fathers Day), biker meet-up ride to Abergavenny and back, on a super-warm day, just wearing my cotton shirt with sleeves (to protect my arms from the Sun), and my sleeveless Levi Jacket.
(Warning: I also wore my trousers as well)... ...
It was nice to go for a ride without wearing all the usual motorcycle clothing clutter!
(Still got to wear a Crash Helmet, tho')... ;) ...!

The arrival at Abergavenny after the 23 mile ride...>>>

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pDEonBqWx4&t=43s

..and the departure back to Hereford again (23 miles)...(part of the full video)...>>>

A fantastic day out in the warm sunshine!

I hope you all enjoy my trip!

Great video's Paul, one day I'll make it down that way on the bike providing work doesn't get in the way again.

Bought myself a chest harness for the cam I have, and with it being a smallish type bike it actually is a pretty good view, if you have a look at the video below you should be able to see the view:

Hello John....

Ta for the reply!

Wot 'appens when I wear my chest harness with my camera attached...

..all you get is a view of my trusty Speedometer...

..and not a lot else!...LOL... ..!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnfRCzu9dB0&t=1153s

My best option is my SJCam 4000 camera (with modified remote plug-in mic) attached to the side of my open face helmet... Viper RS-V18!

Most of the Biker Bloggers wear full face helmets with the front-mounted camera attached to the Chin-piece!

I prefer open face/half helmets, better all-round safe views!

Too much wind noise in my Mic so I text-edit all my videos!

Many thanks John....

..take care on the bike!

Hi Paul,

After speaking to a few bikers who I'm good friends with, and the pro's/con's of sticking one on the helmet, I decided the best thing was the chest mount, the camera I'm using is similar to the SJcam although if Sjcam's where available in the shops I'd have one in an instant....

The problem for me is being buffeted about by the wind going over the Runcorn bridge, been times where I've been blown into the path on the side of it due to the wind!!!

Problems with the wind, John?.... ...!

Alka Seltzer is your friend...>>> https://www.alkaseltzer.com/products/

Works wonders* on Runcorn Bridge...

Paul..... ...!

*...probably...

P.S....SJCam 4000. I got mine (genuine one) from Amazon £45 two years ago.
I modified mine by fitting a 3.5mm jack socket, and a hole in the outer case, and plugging-in an external Mic. (Removed the internal one).
Given the choice again I would go for the; "Wi-Fi" version, and control it, (0n/0ff, etc), via Bluetooth from the handlebars/wrist.

Hopefully Paul doesn't mind me posting this, but due to travelling over the Runcorn bridge I've decided to try my hand at some daily observation video's from my rides to and from work:
