I quite like the end of Daylight Saving, even though it signals winter -- at least we get the hour back that was taken from us earlier on...
Daylight Saving started a while ago here, in the past it always meant that the good weather was due, but since moving to Timaru, I've learnt that this isn't always the case. The odd nice day followed by a dreary couple of weeks has been the norm. Although yesterday was beautiful, and today is ok, albeit still some sea fog around early afternoon.

...the increased daylight in front of my closed eyelids got me out of bed an hour early anyway!
