Leaving Mauritania to Agadir

Postby hasegawa » Fri Dec 22, 2017 8:26 pm

The Cessna 510 Citation "Mustang" has the Range to fly from "Sahara1" to Agadir in Morocco. Agadir is now a tourist vacation and one of the most secure places in Africa. The situation is stable. Many typical european Charter-Airlines find the way to Agadir´s Agadir–Al Massira Airport. At lays on the Atlantic with the the Sous-river reach the ocean and to the north you can see the Atlas Mountains
Why is Agadir so important for us "Flyers"?
Around 1930, Agadir was an important stop for the French airmail service Aéropostale and was frequented by Saint-Exupéry and Mermoz.

The Cessna Citation "Mustang" VLJ , build from 2006-2017 in 472 examples is available for FSX and P3D (4.1. questionable) and a good aircraft to fly distances, a Cessna 310 is also build for with 630 km/h cruising speed. It can reach 41.000 ft and has a range of 1.850 km with full payload.

Here You can see the problem with the Aerosoft- and the ORBX Sahara. I think after fotos I have made in Tunisia, Aerosoft did it better.

View from the Copilot´s seat over the Garmin G1000-instrumentation. You can see, there are some stand-by-instruments if needed.

The cabin is small and a toilet not available...

I like these small jets. Often enough you can´t find a livery for a typical airliner, but with this one you can fly everywhere and it looks right...

Parking at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) has his privilegies...

Manwhile I hear, that Aerosoft, Justsim, ORBX and others are under presure by the public more to do for Africa. I think, that this is. Aerosoft has stopped his project of Johannesburg... and the public react annoyed...
Think it is possible to have interesting flights in Africa... even over the Sahara...
