Postby Aharon » Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:35 pm

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Presenting my world exclusive review of Rick Piper's new freeware W.I.P. but full working add on aircraft called Handley Page HP.137 Jetstream by recreating Big Sky airline's real world flight from KBIL Billings Logan International Airport located two miles northwest of downtown Billings in Yellowstone County in Montana to KCPR Casper–Natrona County International Airport located 7 miles northwest of Casper, Wyoming.

Cool view of engine

Cool view of landing gear and engine

Passengers boarding the planes according to the seat numbers

Closing the passenger door

Starting engines using this engine panel. Do not bother thinking of using ctrl-E because the software developer Rick Piper does not permit phony or amateur method of starting engines. You must start engines using real world realism by using this panel and reading the enclosed specific instructions on how to start engines in most realistic manner

Taxiing to short of runway 28R Wheel suspension is awesome.

Nice realistic panel and yes the freeware HP.137 Jetstream does feature cool VC cockpit!!

Image

The plane has most realistic headlights on wings!!

Image

Holding short of runway 28R. The VC cockpit panel permits you to look around and look out for other planes on runway

Image

Even passengers of freeware HP.137 Jetstream can see what is going on out of windows such as looking at runway!!

Still holding short of runway 28R with nice background view of sunrise

Take off clearance granted as the plane entered into runway for take off

Image

Airborne on climb to FL170 with background view of the airport

Image

Making 180 degree left turn toward south

Image

Still climbing passing ground view of Montana highway route 90

Image

Passing background view of the entire city of Billings with airport being visible above the plane and Yellowstone river can be seen on near upper right corner of the screenshot

Image

Cruising at FL170 doing nice and realistic fuel consumption rate with background view of 8,776 ft high Pryor mountains

Image

Passing Bighorn river

Image

Approaching mountains of massive Bighorn National Forest which can vary from 5,000 feet along the sagebrush and grass-covered lowlands to 13,189 foot high mountains

Image

Passing the Bighhorn national forest park

Image

The airport of destination is getting nearer and time for me to study this!!1

Image

Nice view of combo of sunrise and the forest

Image

Checking to see if passengers are comfortable and enjoying the scenic flight

Image

Descending

Image

If your gauges fail, do not worry. All you have to do is to follow this highway route 25 straight to the city of Casper and its airport!!

Image

Keeping eye on the same highway to be sure that my gauges are working properly

Image

On final runway approach to runway 21 with background view of 8,130 foot high Casper mountains

For your fun commuter flights, I would recommend this freeware plane!!!

Thank you for viewing!! Stay tuned for next exciting flight.

Thanks for the preview Aharon. Nice shots.

You might want to edit your post to include which Sim platform the screenshots were taken in and what sim platforms it will work in. A link to where this add on might be found would be useful too. Is it a beta download?

Unfortunately my eye is drawn to the very weird shafts between the prop and the nacelle. Unusual and it sort of puts me off.

Nice work Aharon

CP , those engines are the Turbomeca XVIC2 (may have been G) ..came out on the 200 series, at that time made by HP/Scottish aviation.
The 31/32 series used Garrett TPE331 , and at that time HP was all but gone and BA were building them.

The C2 engines are weird looking things (well, the prop end anyway), also used on the Pucara, but I think later models used Garretts.

Cowpatz,

I am using FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2 but that plane will work for FS2004.

It is true that it is still beta but Rick Piper said anybody can fly it. It is 95 percent finished and problem-free or bug-free.

It can be downloaded from the forums of Classic British Flight Sim at its link below which you need to sign up and join. Classic British Flight Sim forum members are not allowed to give out download links but they are allowed to tell you to go and join the forums to download the plane. The plane is totallly FREEWARE.

Just to note, Ricks Jetstream is FSX native, so won't work in FS2004, but it does work fine in P3d (including v4)

Thanks for that Dave.
I haven't visited CBFS for sometime. It sort of fell off the radar when I migrated to P3D.
